I've seen tens of thousands of resumes and cover letters as a Human Resources Director and HR Consultant. I have been directly involved in the hiring of countless people during my career. I am the author of 12 books on various labor an HR subjects and spent years as an insider advising and training HR departments on the best hiring practices. I've even been asked to testify before Congress (twice!) as an HR expert. I know how the hiring process works from the inside.

I know the best - and worst - way to approach a company about a job. I know what persuades hiring managers to act.
